To celebrate and welcoming the year 2016, me and some of my friends went to an amusement park in Berastagi, Mikie Holiday Funland, just to have a little fun. The pain was I had to wake up at 6 in the morning because we had to be quick in case the road was fully packed with vehicles because surely everyone wants to celebrate the new year.
Why I entitled this post Work Trip is because this trip is part of my job demands. Which is actually fun because I got to explore places. Frankly, I wasn't planning to blog this trip because the lack of photos I should've taken. But I changed my mind because 1. Now that I think about it, the photos weren't that few, 2. Because it's been a month already, and 3. Because I'm bored. Yes I'm currently on Christmas and New Year break which is more than a week long. Pretty bored when you only stayed in hometown.
Leo Club Medan Eka Prasetya just had their very first birthday on December 6th, 2015. Though I'm pretty sure it's not the exact date of the birthday, but that was the day they celebrated it. If you didn't know what a Leo Club is, Leo clubs are a youth organization of Lions Clubs International (a service membership organization). Leo clubs are sponsored by Lions clubs and comprise an official program of Lions Clubs International. If you have been sticking here with me from long ago, you may have known my post about Study Tour which is a trip where all seniors went into a trip to Brastagi here, In this post I'm going to show you a video which I recorded back then but didn't have a chance to edit it (because I didn't know how to do it then, lol). If you guys didn't know this already, I work in the same place as where I study. So I'm currently majoring in Accounting at Eka Prasetya which is also my workplace. I'm in the marketing department to be specific. So they hire their students to promote their college which is more effective if you ask me. I had fun times working here. Because we go to a lot of places (high schools, mostly)! But It's fun all the same for me. Because I meet a lot of people, explore the places I never been to, get to know more people and also we eat in the middle of it all. And my coworkers are nice. So they don't add to my pressure.
Last week was a full week of touring some high schools in my city for a singing competition that Lions Club Medan Unity held, it is called Lions Superstar. And this competition is only for high school students, so if you aren't a high school student then you cannot participate. Okay so I'm not a member of Lions Club (I'm joining Leo Club though), but there is one person at my workplace that is a member of the Club. Let's just say my workplace and Lions Club are kinda connected. So we help them organizing the event and it's kinda fun.
On August 29th - 30th, I went to Rapidplus Camp, Namo Sira-Sira, Sei Bingei for my college's orientation. It was a remote place deep in the forest. Ok, not actually that deep. But it's located near a rural and it's also close to forest. We also had to dress up ridiculously (see the pictures below) and we could not bring our phones! But let me tell you, it was 2 of the best days of my life.
