Woah, what a long break I have take from this blog. I can't believe my last update was 6 months ago. Well, life has changed a lot since then. I got a new job and my life changed drastically. Lol just kidding. But hey that's kinda true, my daily life changed drastically I kinda overwhelmed trying to get used to it. I will, though.
So this post is meant to be a little life update on what happened to me and what changed for the last 6 months (even though nobody cares).
Going back to Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia for the second time this year with my 2 best friends! This time we explore even more places I didn't get a chance to earlier this year. It was all very fun but it started off with a delay flight, lost my sim card in between, and ended up almost missing our flight. Here goes the story.
Last Sunday I went to a nice restaurant with a huge field with all these cool stuffs, It is located at Medan - Tanjung Morawa KM 12.5, or you could just search "Budaya Resto" on your Google Maps. Besides the really large place which is more likely to be a field than a restaurant, the food tastes damn good (precisely the seafood.)! This is actually my second time going here, but the first time I enjoy the mini theme park (because I was in hurry the first time). Yup, you read it right, there is a mini theme park in it!
Night 5K run filled with UV paint and neon lights, with a good vibe of DJ music, all set in the latest Gojek Electric Festival that stormed Medan city recently on March 4th. And I was happily part it.
Long holiday of Chinese New Year got my friend decided to have a short getaways to Brastagi in which she invited me to join with her family (just her dad and sis actually). We stay for the night. And honestly, the main destination is Micki Holiday Funland, our favorite place! That's Day 1. The next day we went to Gundaling (cows livestock), Panatapan (roasted corn). The usual.
Most people take pictures of the Petronas Twin Towers from the front, but I took it from behind because I'm dope. About the trip, it was actually started on January 6th, but I'd still counted that as a New Year Trip. I went to Kuala Lumpur with my 9 coworkers and the whole trip was funded (except the shopping expenses obviously) by the company we work at, Eka Prasetya Campus in celebration of the graduation committees dissolution of Eka Prasetya that took place back in December.
Cheers to a new year and another chance for us to get it right! I hope you have a wonderful time celebrating it. My new year resolution is to accomplish the goals of 2016 which I should've done in 2015 because I made a promise in 2014 and planned in 2013.
Now, from year to year I've always liked to celebrate the closing of every year by sharing my favorite books of the year, but because this year I barely read 20 books and watch movies more, I decided to share my favorite movies instead! (I'll probably also share my favorite books of the year though). Because I think these awesome stories needed to be spoke out loud for more people to know.
Going to Parapat for only 2 days (Dec 26th to 27th) and on holiday season is probably the worst idea we've had. Yup, that just happened to me and my coworker. We actually arranged to go there for 3 days but we had something to do on the third day so we cut the vacation short.
This weekend is a long and fun one. On Friday I went to Tebing Tinggi and Pematang Siantar for work stuff, coming back to Medan on Saturday, in which we arrived at 7pm and we went straight to my coworker's wedding. Nevertheless, I can't deny the exhaust and after the wedding party when I got home I go straight to bed!
I can't remember the last time I made a post about my day out. But last Sunday I went to a pretty cafe and my friends and I take a lot of pretty pictures and I'm looking through it and started to think, what if i started to post more about my day out?
Every university or college annual agenda: Freshman Orientation! But in my campus, it is called Leadership Camp 1 instead of Orientation. Because most orientation is getting bullied by seniors, but here we have fun, we don't bully new people, we welcome them.
August 13th, last Saturday, I turn 19! That means, this will be my last year being a teenager. I remember how excited I was whenever my birth month is coming, always excited to get older. And now that I'm older, I just want to stay young forever. But getting gifts, surprises and greetings will always be my favorite part about birthday. Getting older was my favorite part about birthday, not anymore tho. Ha.
Hi peeps! I haven't do a movie/book recommendation for so long and I missed sharing with you guys my favorite movies/books! So on this post, I'll share my top 10 favorite action movies that I really love and some I can't even get over with!
Happy Eid Mubarak! Because Eid is a national holiday, the company I'm working at give me 10 days off. Which is not very common because from what I've seen, the other companies, like the ones my friends work at, gave their employees only a week off or even less.
Hey guys! Sup?
Just want to talk and do a lil update on my life because the last time I did that was probably years ago (or months ago?). So if you care about my life or probably just curious enough you can keep on reading.
It's been a week since finals. I'm currently on semester break because I have finished the first year of college. YAS! Meaning I have finished the freshman year, now I'm up to level 2: Sophomore here I come! I mean, It is great and all but gosh, time is surely went by real fast. It feels like just few days ago I talked about graduating high school and now I have finished the first year of college, WHAT?
So college is on break but there is no break for work, kiddos! Well, not that my work is putting me under pressure. Okay it actually gives me pressure but not my work demands that is giving me pressure, more like side things perhaps i'd call? The work demands also gives me a little pressure too, just little, but nothing serious enough to makes me kill myself (just kidding). Whatever that is, there is pressure every way we turn. And I wouldn't get into details, HA!
The thing I hate right now is how I almost never read again. I don't know what's wrong with me but I've been in the worst reading slump ever from the beginning of this year. I didn't finish any book ever this year started, not a single one! I really need to get back on reading because there are tons of books I need to read. GOD, HELP ME.
But instead I'm obsessed with TV shows. I'm catching up on Gossip Girl now (currently on season 2!). I enjoy this show very much. Other TV shows that I enjoy are Game of Thrones (LOVE THIS SHOW WITH ALL MY HEART), The 100, and Gotham. These 3 are my top favorite TV shows! If you are into Sci-Fi genre, go watch The 100. It's amazing! I'm addicted! If you're into Crime genre, go watch Gotham! I wouldn't say it is the smartest crime solving show ever but I enjoy it all the same. And I don't care what genre you are into, you need to watch Game of Thrones my dear. You are seriously missing out if you don't! BUT I don't recommend the kids under age to watch that show because it fulls of nudity, profanity, violence and gore. And if you are into Dramas, duh, obviously go watch Gossip Girl.
And I think I grow a teeth in the very back of my gum which is really hurt. Bye for now!
The national holiday on May 5th to 6th gave us an idea to do a fellowship out of the city while having fun together. Too bad that was on Thursday and Friday, and some of us still need to get back to work on Saturday, which shorten the trip that could be longer.
There were 16 of us. We went by a bus and we were supposed to be on our way at 5am but things happened, we delayed 2 hours. The party still going.
Diversity is a festival where there are colorful powders everywhere you turn, musics and DJ. Each of us got a hold of a package of one color only. You can never guess what color you might get. So first we have to walk the route they gave us, and there you can see everyone throw the colorful powder, and it smells like a rotten egg. And when you finished the walk, there are the DJ! Ready to shower you with music and make you wanna dance.
Eka Prasetya is back with another exciting event. This time, it is Leadership Camp 2 which was held on March 12th to March 13th 2016. It is the second Camp that Eka Prasetya held for this school year.
While the first camp is an orientation for new students, the second one is kinda like "Eka Prasetya Family Day", because Leadership Camp 2 is open for the whole students in Eka Prasetya to join and have fun together. (Read my post about Leadership Camp 1 here).
Started from a dream of passionate High School students, Sutomo 1 High School collaborate with Eka Prasetya (my college) to deliver such joyful and massive event that you will never forget.
