It's the end of the year so I'm going to talk about my top 14 favorite books that I've read this year. I've read a lot this year and I picked my most 14 favorite of them that I definitely recommend and you should definitely read them. This list will go from 14 to 1, starting with my least favorite of the
14 and finishing up with my favorite book of the year. I'll admit it's pretty hard to ordering them because I'm not even sure which one I like better. I may or may not love them all equally. But let's find out!
14. The DUFF by Kody Keplinger
Seventeen-year-old Bianca Piper is cynical and loyal, and she doesn’t think she’s the prettiest of her friends by a long shot. She’s also way too smart to fall for the charms of man-slut and slimy school hottie Wesley Rush. In fact, Bianca hates him. And when he nicknames her “the Duff,” she throws her Coke in his face. But things aren’t so great at home right now, and Bianca is desperate for a distraction. She ends up kissing Wesley. Worse, she likes it. Eager for escape, Bianca throws herself into a closeted enemies-with-benefits relationship with him. Until it all goes horribly awry. It turns out Wesley isn’t such a bad listener, and his life is pretty screwed up, too. Suddenly Bianca realizes with absolute horror that she’s falling for the guy she thought she hated more than anyone.
I usually never liked a contemporary this much but i like this book so much! Loved it, even. I found Bianca really honest. There are so many things we all can relate to her. I love how the development of Bianca and Wesley's relationship didn't rush. This book is not cheesy. I think what i really love about this book is how honest it is. We can also learn that not all attractive-skinny-girls-who-like-to-party are always a b*tch. Yes i'm talking about Casey and Jessica. It honestly surprised me when i first found that they are actually really care for Bianca. If you've read too much fantasy and tired of too much bullshit in your life i highly recommend you this book!

One of the things that I'm always excited to do is opening gifts. That sound when you tore open paper gifts? Precious. So I decided to do a post about my birthday gifts. Because another reason I'm posting it is I don't know what else to post and I've been so rare to post something here. So I think it's something interesting enough to post?

Few months ago I entered a "Do You Read Allegiant?" contest which was held by Books&Beyond bookstore. The challenge was to post a picture of yourself and Allegiant by Veronica Roth and posted it on Instagram. And I unbelievably won it! Honestly I feel a little disappointed. Why? Because I first entered the
contest only to win Books&Beyond membership. But how surprised I was
when I went to the bookstore to claim my prizes and they told me that
there are more than a winner which they didn't even mention in the first
place. There are 5 prizes that they mentioned: Books&Beyond
membership, Books&Beyond gift vouchers, Waterboom Free Entrance
Ticket, Popular Books, Allegiant T-shirt. So as you have probably know
that my prizes are Popular Books and Allegiant T-shirt. Lucky for the
winner that won the membership. But I also feel really grateful that I'm
one of the winners.
Below was the picture I use for the contest:
Here is my prize: 5 books in Young Sherlock Holmes series by Andrew Lane.
Also an Allegiant T-shirt that I think I don't need to show because it's just a black T-shirt with Allegiant book cover in front of it. Whick I hope you can imagine it. Lol bye.

I've been thinking to do a book haul post on my blog recently. But I
don't do it monthly, well, I'll do it if I feel like it. So here it is!
1. Ruby Red (The Ruby Red Trilogy #1) by Kerstin Gier
2. Sapphire Blue (The Ruby Red Trilogy #2) by Kerstin Gier
3. Emerald Green (The Ruby Red Trilogy #3) by Kerstin Gier
I'll review this as a trilogy instead of one by one. First time I spotted this series on a bookstore, I didn't interest in reading it at all. Not even try to read the synopsis. Then later I saw so many people read it and saying good things about it so I think why not and well, it's not disappointed at all. In fact I'm blown away. This story is about Gwendolyn who does time travels but never did she ever expect she was the one who had the time travels gen running through her vein. It's been Charlotte, her very annoying cousin, all along. Though I'm kind of overwhelmed by many mentioned years at first but I'm getting used to it time by time. I really enjoyed the travel. The ending is really surprising. Well honestly many surprising things happened in book three. You should give a try! And there's also a movie for this book though it's in German. I really want to watch it but don't know how to find the DVD! Ugh. But oh well.
Aside from that the characters in this book were wonderful too. Evie was a complex person. A drinking flapper, trouble seeker, outspoken, but is so funny. The selfishness and charm of her character make her a flawed but also makes her a likeable person. And she's different from most YA books' heroines. She's not weak and I love that about her the most. And there is Sam, so flattering and funny just like Evie. I see him and Evie as a perfect match. But there's also this mysterious Jericho. So formal and clumsy but there's secret hidden within it. Theta, such a very cool girl with dark past. Henry, loving and gentle. I love how the book tell from many point of views so we could understand them better!
I think Libba Bray has done a perfect job with this book. It made me want me to become a flapper, dance to jazz, party in speakeasies. It also made me afraid to walk in my house at night.
This is one of the best books I have ever read. Period. I heard there's a sequel coming out really soon! I'm so excited!

4. Miss Peregrine's Home for Peculiar Children (Miss Peregrine's Peculiar Children #1) by Ransom Riggs
First time I spotted this
book at a bookstore I thought this book is about ghosts, abandoned
house and of course peculiar children, but only in a totally different
way. I didn't pick this book right away though. I read reviews and I see
many people love this book so I decided to pick this book. turns out it
doesn't disappointing at all like any other book with awesome cover
sometimes do. But only the story is really unexpected, in a good way. The
moment I start to read this book I know I'll love this book. And turns
out I was right. Though in the middle of it i'm not sure if I like it or
not because I feel like I read 2 different books and that happened when
you haven't found out the secrets. But the more you read the more
interesting the story will become. At the end, I totally into it and if
you love books about time travel then you'll surely love this one too. So yeah if you asked me I will obviously say it is a good book and
recommend it to you! Also, the vintage photographs in this book is a plus point to this book! You'll love it.
5. Allegiant (Divergent #3) by Veronica Roth
I love how realistic things
happened in this book. I mean, you don't always get a happy ending. Every
YA Fantasy book surely has romance story in it but here in this book
you'll find it seems real and not exaggerated at all. Also in this final
installment you'll find out about the history behind the faction system
and such things. this book will explain all the questions you've been
wondering in the first and second books of the trilogy.
And I want to make a confession: I cried in the middle of night when I finished it. I believe most of you also did but I never thought I could cry because I came across a spoiler long time before reading it and i already know how the ending would be like. But for God shake I did cry. And this is extreme because I'm the type of person who almost never cry for fiction. Well done Veronica Roth.

6. Eleanor & Park by Rainbow Rowell
So
heartbreaking. Oh my God it's so heartbreaking. I can't think of
anything else right now. I'm so desperate. Anyway I know it's going to
break my heart from the first sentence of the book. I'm reading it with
heavy weight in my chest. WHY Rainbow Rowell. WHY
It's about redheaded Eleanor and half-Asian Park. Two misfits. One extraordinary love. When I first found out Park is Asian I'm like WOW! My first ever read with Asian as the major character. (PS: I'm Asian).
7. Tiger's Voyage (The Tiger Saga #3) by Colleen Houck
This one is probably
my favorite of the series so far (i haven't read the 4th one). It kinda
bored me at first but the more i read it, the more intense it gets. So
much happening in this book. I become so invested in Kelsey, Ren and
Kishan's lives that their pain become my pain. Ren annoyed me so much in
the beginning, being bossy at Kelsey though I know that's because he
loves her but still... I love him though. and Kishan, I really really
love him. I don't even know what to expect, who to ship. He's so gentle,
full of patience, and never compulsive. He loves Kelsey just the way she
is *SWOON*
I want to cry in the middle of the book to the ending. This book captured my heart and leave speechless. don't know what to say, what to think. AND THE ENDING. WHY COLLEEN HOUCK? She leaves me wondering with broken heart (just like she does with all her books) of what will happen next! That's the thing about the ending, you'll get so desperate to find out what happen next. But you have to wait for eternity to find out what happen next.
This book give me so much feels. Heartbroken, funny, upset, annoyed, all I feel at the same time. And I learn to love Kelsey character thoughout the book. I usually don't really like the main character. I have some that i love though but mostly I don't. And now I'm dying to read the 4th book. Oh dont forget to mention the 5th book probably come out next year. FEELS LIKE FOREVER.

8. The Diviners (The Diviners #1) by Libba Bray
HOLY
SMOKES! I LOVE LOOVEEE THIS BOOK SOOO FREAKING MUCH! Such a delightful
yet terrifying read! I really enjoy this big book! I'm blown away! From
the first line I read I know I'll love this book. Every pages filled
with twist. It makes you hungry for informations. Everything about The
Diviners screams "Perfection!". Pos-i-tute-ly swell! It's beautifully
written with sharp dialogue that smacked of 1920s lingo. And the plot
really got me. I love how the story didn't rush. Honestly I don't see
this as heavy read at all. I wish it were longer. Don't be discouraged
by the number of pages because it goes by swiftly. Though this book is
really creepy but it also fill with humors. So one second you were
laughing out loud and the next second you want to hide under your bed.Aside from that the characters in this book were wonderful too. Evie was a complex person. A drinking flapper, trouble seeker, outspoken, but is so funny. The selfishness and charm of her character make her a flawed but also makes her a likeable person. So, those are the books I've read from January to March 2014. I love all of them! Each books gave me different feeling. Like, Allegiant and Eleanor & Park made me desperate, and others made me feel like a detective together we break the mystery!
And don't forget to check out my Goodreads page and add me as a friend if you got one! Because I updated about everything books there! Books I'm currently reading, to-be-read books, reviews and stuff.

Hello people! How I miss blogging!
Last time I posted something here was like 2 months ago and there are a lot of things that has happened within! I had tests and stacks of assignment that will never end. And I had my house renovate and guess what? I got a super new room!
And within that 2 months I also read some books. 4 of them are sequels. I read 5 books and I read them in order as the picture showed below.
1. Clockwork Princess (The Infernal Devices, #3) by Cassandra Clare.
Clockwork Princess is final book of The Infernal Devices trilogy by Cassandra Clare. This book has broke my heart into pieces. It has a perfect ending even though I really hate endings but OMG CASSIE LOOK WHAT YOU HAVE DONE TO ME! I have never been so overwhelmed with emotions, so heartbroken. Each line changed your thoughts and it was so well written. It was truly an INCREDIBLE series. THIS is how a love triangle should be written, in a way that preserves the honor of everyone involved. There isn't another series out there that has ever managed to handle one with such love and kindness and respect. This series will change your perspective of love, friend and everything. I literally cried during the last chapter. WILL WILL MY WILL.
2. Rapture (Fallen, #4) by Lauren Kate.
Rapture is the final book of Fallen series by Lauren Kate. Can you imagine how was my feeling to read 2 final books in a row? Well that's heartbroken. I also love this series and I love how this book ended unexpectedly and beautifully. It's beautiful how Daniel and Luce willing to sacrifice everything for their love and i'm so sad because they have to forget their pasts and who they were and started over everything again just so they can be one again. It hurts me a little how Lucifer feel betrayed and that he cried for the pain he always endures and this may sound ridiculous remembering how an ass Lucifer was. But I really feel bad for him. And a mortal Daniel? I don't even know how I feel. The last sentence he said in the book really cracked me up. Its like Luce all over again. Just this time it is both of them.
3. Hades (Halo, #2) by Alexandra Adornetto
Hades is the second book of Halo trilogy by Alexandra Adornetto. This book start with Beth and Xavier thought they have already free from Jake only until he came back. Yeah he did come back to take Beth with him to Hades (which we all known as Hell)! Honestly I don't really like the set of places in Hades. I kind of love the story though it's boring because it told us about how Beth surviving Hades and the story is back and forth in the same boring place.
4. Heaven (Halo, #3) by Alexandra Adornetto
Heaven is the final book of Halo trilogy by Alexandra Adornetto. In this book we can tell how corrupt most of angels were! And SERIOUSLY if there is nothing good left then what's the purpose of living anyway? I don't like that! But I love how the story ended though but UGH.
5. Heavenly (Heavenly, #1) by Jennifer Laurens
Heavenly is the first book of Heavenly trilogy by Jennifer Laurens. Guess what? Another angel book! Okay I just realize that 5 of these books have something to do with angel and OMG! Did I actually read them all? But this one is really good! Zoe may have been a outsider typical teen but she was so much more at heart. Having to deal with distant parents due to her little sister having autism and the care she required. Zoe found ways to release her frustration, anger and hopelessness. When life starts to break at all angles as if you dropped a mirror and shattering into dozens of pieces. Can that mirror be put back together? Abria may have autism but she is beautiful at heart. Matthias was sent to be her guardian. Matthias was honestly written I never felt he was out of place his character victorious which transcended from paper as if it couldn't be contained.
So that's all the review guys! From October books because I just have time to post them now.
Anyway I have start reading some books in November but I consider to post them at the end of this month!
Bye guys!

Another ordinary holiday which means STAY IN THE HOMETOWN. Duh
The title said Summer but we don't have summer actually, in my country. But what those Americans or Westerns do or celebrate become international so yeah it's summer lol
But I'm not that boring though. Because I had prepared to save as many snacks as I could so when it goes to boredom, BAMMM! Food.
Anyway I bought this book recently, Looking For Alaska by John Green. I LOVE THIS BOOK. VERY RECOMMENDED! It's just so many things happens beyond my expectation. It's awesome though it has some dirty scene ugh. Whatever. But one more wishlist checked anyway!
Oh and um I took my school report on June 22nd, now I'm officially up to 11th grade. Which means next year is my senior year. Excitement mixed with sadness. FYI: I take the social class.

There are so many books to buy in my books-to-buy list.
I think the books I desperately want to read is literally HARD to find. In my city.
And I don't really interest in buying things online.
So I seek there and seek here and gotcha! Found this book which was in my top list.
A Walk To Remember by Nicholas Sparks.
Considering it's my first English novel. I have some comics in English and that doesn't count in.
I decide to collect more original novel instead of the translation one because my favorite novel's genre isn't the one my country's novelist could create (the ugly truth). And sometimes buying translation novel is annoying because they don't really get the point of the story yet they translate it anyway.

So lately I was reading a lot of books and they were all amazing! Amazing books by amazing authors.
I'll tell you what...

So... Divergent by Veronica Roth is going to adapted as a movie and will be soon hit theater on March 21, 2014! I know it is a very long time, but the story is fascinating! but sadly they haven't do cast for the movie. erghhhh curious about who will play Tris and Tobias. some fanbase which i found on tumblr made dreamcast of the character of the book, though. the celebrities that physically suit to the character that Veronica Roth create! so creative!
I am dying waiting for book #4 of Hush Hush, Finale, book #6 of The Mortal Instruments, City of Heavenly Fire, book #3 of Divergent (as-yet-untitled), and book #3 of The Infernal Devices, Clockwork Princess. According to articles I have read, all of that books each are the last series of the books.
Waiting for these movies that will coming soon:
- The Perks of Being Wallflower
- Twilight Saga: Breaking Dawn part 2
- Diary of Wimpy Kid: Dog Days
- The Host
- The Mortal Instruments: City of Bones
- Divergent
- The Hunger Games: Catching Fire
All of these movies are based on novel!
And, check out my page on goodreads, contains lists of books I read, currently-read or to read!

This is all the book I have read recently to fill my boring holiday activity, except City of Lost Soul. Due it's not yet release in my country! :/ I'm so curious about the next story anyway. The novel's author is Cassandra Clare. Her novels are the way too awesome! It's about the Shadowhunters and the Downworlder (Warlock, Vampire, Werewolf, Fairy). She's one of my favorite author ;) I recommend you guys to read it! Maybe you'll get addicted just like me. City of Bones, City of Ashes, City of Glass, City of Fallen Angel, and City of Lost Souls are The Mortal Instrument. Clockwork Angel and Clockwork Prince are The Infernal Device, it told the story of the previous Shadowhunters in Victorian era in England.
City of Bones (the 1st series of The Mortal Instrument) movie will be released on August 2013 as what I read on the website. Woah it taking too long release date, I can wait no more! >< Hope the movie will be awesome :)
Let me show you the dream-cast
The Infernal Device
I read on Cassandra Clare's website there's still another story about the Shadowhunters but it's still the continue story of both The Infernal Device and The Mortal Instrument. It's The Dark Artifices, can't wait for the release date! And upcoming Shadowhunter chronology book: The Shadowhunter’s Codex - A GUIDE TO THE WORLD OF THE NEPHILIM, Not much like novel, it's contain about the beginning story about nephilim and the world of them. That book was frequently mention at The Infernal Device's, the book which Tessa Gray always read.
Another novel of Cassie is The Iron Trial Series - COWRITTEN WITH HOLLY BLACK, I don't know what it is about, and I thought the story doesn't link to another novel of hers.
Well, if you want to know more about it just read here! and my favorite website about these Shadowhunter are http://tmisource.com/ and http://tmisource.tumblr.com/. Freaking awesome! :) x
